Here’s something different, more of a freestyle “radio show” than the usual mix stuff I do…actually this was recorded 17 Dec 2011, so there are a few Xmas leftovers in there, but it’s spacey enough that it works well for a post-holidays kinda mood. Also afterward there’s a nice bootleg screwed & chopped Pimp C tribute mix from the Swisha House crew that I left in for your enjoyment as well, whee!

Hey fam,

First off, thanks to everybody who’s been reaching out and wondering what the hell is up with the Crew…the Doctor was having some non-trivial health issues for the past few weeks, but all is good now and he’s up and around so things are happening again, yay!

Also, if you’re in or near the Dallas/Ft Worth area this weekend, come check out the newly revived Doctor J alongside Teddy B from Funky Fella Crew…we will be playing at Bryan Street Tavern in East Dallas on Sunday night (July 24th), with a big lineup and $1 draft beers all evening! It’s also a celebration of several July birthdays (including Doctor J, hey at least somebody remembered haha), so it should be a night of great fun and great music for everybody! Hope you’ll join us for the festivities…

New Radio Show!:

Starting this Tuesday night from 11pm-1am Central US (gmt wed 5-7am), Funky Fella’s Doctor J steps into the weekly lineup of the brand new North American bass style netradio station Rewind FM!

Our current SubFM show moves into a biweekly rotation beginning this Wednesday, focusing more on showcasing our label and our worldwide friends, much as we have enjoyed doing for almost three years on the station now. The Rewind show will be geared more toward our US/Canada audience, and the kind of musically stylistic freeforming we’ve been doing more of lately.

(Speaking of American sounds, every other Wed’s SubFM spot will now be held down by Megalodon following Conscious Pilot’s always-huge show, a one-two punch that I think everyone will enjoy, and yet another reason this deal is a win-win for everybody)

Rewind FM (homepage, tune in, DJ schedule, chatroom etc)

gawd we hate it. most people who know our “real names” are not the people we want to talk to on the internet, haha. (none of us wish to relive high school, know what i mean?) also, i dunno if you noticed but a lot of what they do is sorta shady. still, we have several interesting msgs from folks who appear to have no other contact points, so if the demand is that high maybe we’ll do a fan page there or something, under protest :)
